As part of this year’s Polish Heritage Days celebrations, POSK Opera invites you to a feast of beautiful music performed by superb Polish and British artists.

POSK Opera have made it their mission to popularise Stanisław Moniuszko’s music in the UK. So far, the three best known operas have been staged: Halka, The Haunted Manor and The Countess, as well as the equally beautiful but less well known Paria, Verbum Nobile and The Rafter.

To celebrate the 200th birthday of Poland’s first national composer, soloists from previous productions have teamed up with a chamber ensemble of the POSK Opera Orchestra. They will be joined by the renowned pianist John Paul Ekins as well as tenor Tadeusz Szlenkier, making a special guest appearance from Warsaw.

This concert will feature the most beloved of Moniuszko’s songs from Spiewnik Domowy (Home Songbook) as well as arias from his operas and the orchestral overture Bajka.
